Hi. Thanks for visiting. My name is Adam, and I’m an adventurer, hiker, backpacker, kayaker, Jeep owner, overlander, and Eagle Scout. Toss in a few more descriptors, and you pretty much get the summed-up version of me. Spending most of my childhood in nature and camping with Scouts, I found a love for the outdoors that has continued into adulthood.
I loved the concept of the Jeep — being able to take the doors off and get to all those places that others can’t easily access. I had owned an older Cherokee that I wanted to turn into an overlanding rig, however, it needed much more than I was willing to put into it.
In 2016, I found a great deal on a Wrangler and decided it was time to pull the trigger and get it. No more than a month later, the upgrades started and the idea to create a mobile basecamp for my adventures was born.
Sure, he has needed some upgrades and repairs along the way, but when you use your vehicle the way it was intended to be used, things happen. Plus, no one ever said owning a Jeep was cheap. What do you expect with a nickname like Just Empty Every Pocket?
I am excited to share my adventures with you all and build this site into a resource for those who join me for the ride of a lifetime.
So much more to come.
