No matter where you ask this question you will always get completely different answers. The “official definition” is summed up to be any type of self-reliant travel overland with the primary goal of going to remote destinations. Visit any “Overlanding” Facebook group or troll comments on Instagram and you will quickly find that there are very large factions that support many different ideals.
Unless you are a botanist or a scientist you most likely do not spend much time thinking about leaves. Not too long ago, I overheard a discussion on a local radio station. They were discussing the process trees go through that causes their leaves to change. The hosts were discussing how they had never heard of this information before and it surprised them.
